About Spruce Peak

At the Base of the Mountain and the Center of Everything

Nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains at the base of Stowe’s iconic Mount Mansfield is Spruce Peak, a welcoming mountain community that combines the rustic authenticity of Vermont with luxury accommodations, world-class skiing, championship golf, and year-round recreation.  It’s a place to discover all manner of passions, from alpine skiing and snowboarding to mountain biking and fly fishing, from rounds on the famed mountain golf course to course after course of mouthwatering fare.

At the heart of it all is the grand Village Center – a bustling hub of bistros, boutiques, and activities for all-ages.  Summer brings outdoor concerts, farm table dinners, artisan markets, and outdoor fun for the entire family.  In the winter, the Village Green transforms into a magical winter wonderland with an ice-skating rink, family events, and the best après ski experience in the Northeast.

Unmatched Luxury Accommodations and Resort Amenities

Central to the Village is The Lodge at Spruce Peak, a four-star luxury resort hotel featuring breathtaking views of the Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak trails.  Welcoming suites feature flickering hearths that bathe every room in warm, golden hues, and a stay in one of the Penthouse residences avails you to perks normally reserved for residential owners alone – including private check-in services, dedicated concierge assistance, daily continental breakfast and so much more.

Connect over a memorable meal at Alpine Hall, where Vermont mountain culture is celebrated by bringing the work of the region’s best growers, producers, and makers to our family tables and grand bar. Indulge in a cocktail-forward and seafood-rich experience at Tipsy Trout, featuring Vermont’s best raw bar, shareable apps, and coastal-inspired entrees.  Looking for some me-time?  Head to The Spa for an exclusive, members-only wellness experience, or soak in the warmth of the heated pool and outdoor hot tubs.

Connected to the Greens

Spruce Peak is nestled among the greens-between Spruce, Mansfield, Sterling and Madonna peaks – surrounded by 2,000 acres of protected and conserved wilderness. The intimate community provides abundant ways to connect with these majestic surroundings. From a dedicated trail network to a golf course that traverses the mountain sides and stream basins, Spruce Peak is a place where we are inspired by our surroundings, and in turn, we look to protect our environment at every opportunity.
  • Spruce Peak is the first ski resort community in America to earn the prestigious Audubon International certification.
  • Spruce Peak embraces the principles of compact and clustered development, land management that deters non-native plant species and protection of habitat for rare animals.
  • Over 2,000 acres surrounding Spruce Peak at Stowe have been permanently protected through state ownership and the use of conservation easements.
  • The protection of streams and wetlands has been incorporated into all facets of the Spruce Peak design, including a strict erosion and sediment control plan.
  • Naturalized native vegetation is used for all landscaping throughout the project site.
  • The Spruce Peak Village Center is heated and cooled by the largest geo thermal field in northern Vermont—over 100 wells, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
  • Protected wildlife habitat corridors preserve precious routes for deer, moose, bear, as well as a number of rare bird species.
